They say two heads are better than one. In the case of Drs. Adam and Sandra Elbaum, boy, were they ever right! Dr. Adam and Dr. Sandy met in Marietta, Georgia in1987 while attending Life Chiropractic University. Although the individual paths that led them to chiropractic were very different, upon meeting, they both knew immediately that each had met their soul mate. Soon after, they married and started their family. In the summer of 1990 after graduating, they moved to Virginia, where they opened Chester Family Chiropractic Center.
 Dr. Adam, the youngest child in a family of six, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He completed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida; he still remains an avid Gator supporter. While at Life University, he became involved in class politics and served in a variety of elected positions. Currently, Dr. Adam is an active member of the Chester Jaycees and the Chester Kiwanis Club. His interests include golf, racquetball and spending quality time with his family. His personal belief in "the golden rule” (do on to others as you would like to be done on to you) has become the trademark of his professional career.
 Dr. Sandy is originally from New York, but grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia State University. Following her graduation from Life University, she furthered her expertise by completing a Fellowship in Chiropractic Pediatrics. Though a very busy mother of four, Dr. Sandy always finds time to devote to her passion, “better recognition and understanding of chiropractic”. She is very involved with chiropractic politics in the state of Virginia, where she has been honored, twice, as “Chiropractor of the Year”. She received the prestigious “Star” award for Women in Business (of Virginia) for outstanding contributions in the field of medicine.
Dr. Adam and Dr. Sandy share a passion and commitment to their community, chiropractic, and family. They strive to bring these passions into their practice and look forward to serving the Chester community for many years to come

I know there is so much controversy between chiropractic and medical care, but if it were not for chiropractic I would still be in pain. A car accident left me with constant lower back pain. I tried everything from painkillers to preparing to have surgery. I heard stories from my friends who had surgery and to this day wish they never had it. So I decided to go to a chiropractor before the surgery and I am so thankful that I did. My back pains are gone and I am living my life to the fullest and pain free.
